A Tribute to Difference Makers

Difference Makers!

An amazing, beautiful tribe of people. They show up in all kinds and forms of social status, gender, age, and nationalities.

They deserve all the respect, admiration and encouragement we can give them.

The struggle they face is intense.

The setbacks they experience, the discouragement, self-doubt, and temptation to simply give up in those difficult, dark moments that sometimes hit are real. They might have to deal with people opposing what they’re doing or face immense criticism and hurtful judgments.

They regularly meet with incomprehension, jealousy, and loneliness.

The benevolent smile they wear on their faces when being there for those who need them has most often been preceded by tears of disappointment, overwhelm and pain.

And it’s all because of their unstoppable desire to contribute to making this world a better place that they keep sacrificing their time, energy, money and life.

They are called to work on the front lines; the rest of us is called to encourage them.

So let’s be there for them when they need a listening ear, let’s support them with whatever we can, let’s encourage themcheer them on and never miss a chance to tell them how much we appreciate what they’re doing and how much of an impact they’re making in this world!

Ready to jump? Or just dipping your toes?

Imagine this: You’re standing in front of a beautiful lake, already barefoot, ready to jump in. You’re admiring the beauty of the surroundings, the deep blue water of the lake, the endless sky above it. And you’re thinking to yourself how wonderful and exhilarating and refreshing and even healthy it would be to jump into these deep waters and have a swim. Continue reading “Ready to jump? Tap into the power!

freedom

The other day I was thinking about the fact that people who want to make a difference usually have a lot of drive and gumption to do things, to make them happen and to have the impact that they so desire to see in the world. They recognize the needs, they know their vision and calling, and they just want to go and do what they feel should be done! (I know because I’m one of them :))

With this busyness and drive to make things happen, the “who” of us and the “why” of what we do can easily get blurry and out of focus. And yet, these two are the most important factors in the equation that leads to sustainable success in our endeavors.
